"body": "**Platform:** Mobile (Android)\r\n\r\n**Root Cause:**\r\nPlugins (like Backlinks) render their content through `NoteBodyViewer`. When a note had an empty body, the viewer was completely skipped due to a 2018 workaround (`!note.body.trim() ? null : <NoteBodyViewer />`). This prevented any plugin content from appearing on empty notes, while desktop worked correctly.\r\n\r\n**Solution:**\r\nRemoved the empty-body guard that prevented `NoteBodyViewer` from mounting in view mode. Now the viewer always renders when a note exists, allowing plugin content to display even on empty notes.\r\n\r\n**Changes:**\r\n\r\n1. **`packages/app-mobile/components/screens/Note/Note.tsx`**\r\n - Removed `!note.body.trim() ? null :` condition\r\n - Now always renders `<NoteBodyViewer />` in view mode when note exists\r\n\r\n2. **`packages/app-mobile/components/screens/Note/Note.test.tsx`**\r\n - Added regression test: `should render the note viewer when the note body is empty`\r\n - Ensures viewer mounts even with empty body\r\n\r\n**Test Plan:**\r\n- **Unit tests:** `yarn test components/screens/Note/Note.test.tsx --runInBand`\r\n - All tests pass, including the new empty-body test\r\n - No regressions in existing tests\r\n\r\n- **Manual verification:**\r\n 1. Install Backlinks plugin\r\n 2. Create Note A (empty body, only title)\r\n 3. Create Note B with content: `[[Note A]]`\r\n 4. Open Note A in view mode\r\n 5. **Result:** Backlinks section appears with link to Note B\r\n 6. Regular notes unchanged, edit mode unaffected\r\n\r\n**Platforms tested:**\r\n- Android (emulator) - Verified with Backlinks plugin showing content on empty notes\r\n- iOS (simulator) - Verified note renders without errors (plugin not tested as Backlinks not available on iOS)\r\n\r\n**AI Assistance Disclosure:**\r\nI used GPT (OpenAI) to understand the bug, plugin rendering flow, and to help with writing the regression test.
